  The Conway Historical Society was founded in 1935 to preserve the rich and varied history of the Conways

 Stay up to date with our Society News, Conway History, CHS Events, Salyards Center for the Arts, and our many special programs throughout the year.

  In 1962 Robert Raymond (bowser) Lord donated his historic family home, pictured below, to CHS. The Lord property now holds the Eastman Lord House Museum CHS Office and Gift Shop.

Eastman Lord House Museum

Eastman Lord House Museum hours are
Wednesdays, 2:00 to 4:00
Saturdays,     1:00 to 4:00
Memorial Day through Labor Day. Appointments may be made anytime between May first and October 31st.

Contributions are accepted 

  The society works closely with area schools, presenting programs in the Eastman Lord House as well as in local classrooms.

  A number of local businesses have chosen to support the Conway Historical Society through our Corporate Sponsor program. Participants are listed in the quarterly newsletter, on our web pages and in our annual program.

  The C.H.S presents a wide variety of well-attended Monthly Programs. Unless otherwise noted programs are held at the Salyards Center for the Arts beginning at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month. 6:00pm. for pot luck suppers.
